Establishing a business within the moving industry is a great way to generate tremendous profits. After all, people are always going to move and they’re always going to want professional help. The only way to truly thrive in this industry, however, is to master SEO for moving companies. Following are several, important reasons why.

To start, most people aren’t pulling out the white or yellow pages when they need service providers within this niche. In fact, these marketing tools are so outdated that a lot of millennials don’t even know what they are. Most people are instead using their tablets, laptops, computers and cell phones to find these companies online. As such, if your moving business does not have a formidable online presence, it is definitely going to miss out.

Search engine optimization is the process of making sure that people can actually find your website when they do start looking for a business in your area. With these efforts, your goal is to give search engines a reason to publish your link at the top of the first page of search results. This is done through a combination of tasks including publishing lots of high-value content and building a number of authority links.

Paying for a quality website design is never enough. Most people never navigate beyond the very first page of search engine results. In fact, it is estimated that just three percent of web users do this in most instances. This is why smart business owners are always willing to invest in professional SEO solutions. Red Dragon Web Media has a great reputation and does a great job offering their Seattle Seo Services.

Optimizing is all the more important in the moving industry. This is because there tends to be a fierce amount of competition in most local areas. For these companies, there is usually a very limited, geographic territory that they can cover and this means limited opportunities to connect with qualified prospects. Thus, if you aren’t showing up on the first page of results, you can rest assured that other, diligent businesses are.

There are a number of additional benefits to optimizing for search engines that often go overlooked. For instance, given that your campaigns will include the creation and publishing of high-quality, high-value content, you have the opportunity to establish yourself as an industry authority. This is done by publishing articles and blog posts that answer real consumer questions and foster trust.

Smart companies also use their content to walk consumers through the purchasing process. When you think about it, there is a pretty standard range of questions that people have before committing to services within this industry. For instance, they might have insurance concerns, questions about what service fees cover, and questions about any extended solutions that a company might provide.

By using SEO content to answer these questions, you can make sure that your prospects are still on your actual web pages when they are finally ready to convert. If you don’t use this technique, you run the risk of having them navigate away to other, more informative platforms before finalizing their purchasing decision. As such, SEO is also great for ensuring that you aren’t losing any traffic that you’ve already earned.

Thinking about starting a business

I have been thinking about starting a business lately.

I don’t know exactly what I would do, but I’ve been talking with a lot of my friends about it. I have a friend in Seattle who owns company called We Like To Move It Move It, and we just had a really long conversation about it. We went over a lot of different things like the things he likes about it, and the things he doesn’t like about it.

He also told me I should talk to five or six more entrepreneurs and see what it’s like having a business where I live out here in the middle of nowhere on the island.

My friend told me that he would never go back to working for wages again. He told me his life is totally changed in that he would never go back.

I was like “geez, how much money are you making?”

“Do you really want to know?” he asked. I usually don’t brag and I usually don’t discuss these things, but I’d love to give a future entrepreneur motivation that she could use…”

He told me that his new company was bringing in over $20,000 a month, and that he had 85% profit margin. Then he showed me screenshots of his financials for the third and fourth month of his business being in operation… I was totally blown away. I mean I know business owners make more money than people that work as employees, but this was tremendous.

At $20,000 a month, he must be bringing in at least $240,000 a year. I don’t know about you but for me this be life-changing money.

He went on to explain that as soon as he had a little bit of money (he said five grand) that it was even easier to make more money.

We talked about a lot of other stuff to yes me if there is any colleges in the area that offer business classes. I told him that there wasn’t. So then he suggested that I check out all the classes that are on udemy.com, he said there’s a ton of them. I’ll have to do that when I’m done writing here.

He also said that if I wanted to start a business, that I should start looking for a mentor or an accountability partner he said that it’s his opinion that like most things in life, the only wrong way to do it to do it alone. One is the worst number of business.

So all in all I’m pretty excited

I know that it will be a long journey and that all need a lot of help from a lot of people, but I know it will be worth it in the end.

Moving Home

When I was 15 my family moved to the West Indies for my fathers work. This would turn out to be a big adventure for me. We were living in New York at the time and I come from a large family so this was going to be a huge undertaking. We were a family of eight ranging in the ages of 2 to 15. We started packing two weeks before we were to move and what a job it was. There were children to care for and meals to cook as before with the added work of sorting through all of our belongings.

The little ones always get so fussy. On the day of the move, things were really stressful and hectic. Finally, we were ready to begin our long journey. We flew into the capital city the flight is 8 hours long. Once there we were able to spend a few days to relax before all our belongings were shipped to our new house. It is a beautiful city with much that is so new to us. There are so many options for different things to try and do. My oldest brothers chose to go windsurfing while the younger children played on the beach with my mother and me. My father had gone on before us to meet the ship that was bringing our belongings.

Two days later we arrived at our new home and started putting things away. There were so many large crates to go through and much work to do. I will never forget how hard this move was with our parents and my father in particular. We had to do everything ourselves and with a large family that amounts to a lot of work and stress. Now it is 50 years later and so much has changed. There are professional moving companies that will come in and load up all your belongings and take them to your new home. Nowadays they will even come and do all the packing for you as well as tearing down furniture and beds and then reassemble them for you when you move in. My parents could have really benefited from a service like that back then and saved themselves a lot of work and so much stress. I’m so glad it is easier and more convenient to move now. My parents would love this!
